Our engineering team is Led by our Senior Engineer, Professor and Founder Dr. Thomas Shelton, PhD with expertise in metallurgical, material, and mechanical engineering. He has served as a consultant and expert witness on notable litigation cases. MMT has also performed extensive testing and analysis for major industrial clients in the Gulf South.

We can expedite analysis turnaround times with our facilities which include in-house testing labs with experienced technicians and machining capabilities to provide fast sample preparation.

Materials Characterization & Selection

MMT assists clients in the selection of materials from which components are to be fabricated. Our analysis processes
determine a list of materials and compatibility with the design criteria and/or the identification of critical properties to be used in the selection of materials. The right choice in materials
impact the bottom line and the wrong choice can be costly and even dangerous. The life of materials is affected by various variables including operating temperature, corrosion, stress and strain.
