Third Party Analysis
Our facility includes 8000 ft2 of office space, conference area, laboratory, and machine shop all available to conduct third party inspections. With the assistance technicians provided by MMT, independent consultants, litigators, and other parties have access to the on-site testing equipment. Wireless internet is available throughout the facility.
Routine Testing / Quality Verification

Our materials testing capabilities include materials selection, materials performance and failure analysis, using both destructive and non-destructive testing.

Chemical Testing
MMT has the capability of determining the composition using one of two methods: Optical Emission Spectroscopy and Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy.
OPTICAL EMISSION SPECTROSCOPY
MMT uses a spark source to excite energy, which causes electrons in sample to emit light. This allows MMT to provide accurate metal elemental composition.
ENERGY DISPERSIVE SPECTROSCOPY
In conjunction with scanning electron microscope, the EDS uses a scanning electron beam to excite atoms of an unknown material. The x-ray emitted from the sample characterizes the elemental composition.
Metallurgical Testing
Our metallurgical services include acquiring and interpreting data from MMT’s sophisticated equipment. Common uses for metallurgical services include quality assurance, failure analysis, litigation support and third party analysis.
